Programs
Phase I - Midway
The Phase I residential program was created in 1986 and updated in 2008. This intensive treatment is intended for those with no or little prior rehabilitation experience. Group sessions are held daily. Topics covered include: relapse prevention, stress management, life skills, assertiveness training, and feelings awareness.
This 28-day program includes:
- Weekly individual therapy
- Daily group therapy sessions
- Participation in 12-step work
- Closed campus
Phase II - Halfway House
Clients are required to work during the day and attend counseling sessions during the evening.Counseling-related activities include:
- Weekly individual therapy
- Small group therapy
- Community meetings
- Minimum commitment of 30 days with a maximum stay of three months
- Participation in 12-step work
Phase III - The Gaylord
Phase III of the program is Sobriety House's 9-month independent living program. Residents are expected to follow their aftercare plan while living at The Gaylord.Back to Top
Stepping Stone
Stepping Stone is a unique location for women in recovery. As part of the Sobriety House family, women live here while in Phase I and Phase II. Stepping Stone is located in a beautiful Victorian house and offers rooms for 16 women. Counselors are on site as well as a house manager.Back to Top
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for Phase I and Phase II at Sobriety House, the applicant must be:- At least 18 years of age.
- A drug or alcohol abuser or substance dependent.
- Be a resident of Region II in Colorado, which includes: Adams, Jefferson, Arapahoe, Douglas, Denver, Clear Creek, and Gilpin counties. We are also a contractor for Boulder County Health Department. We do not accept out of state offenders.
- Physically able to work and pay fees from work related income; and in good health or, if not, medical problems must be stabilized.
Applicants must have five or fewer inpatient treatment programs – not including detoxification. Re-admissions are subject to staff approval.
Applicants must be drug and alcohol free for a minimum of 72 hours before admission and present no withdrawal risk. Applicants with a history of withdrawal seizures or DT’s must be detoxified in an appropriate program before being admitted to Sobriety House.
Our program is designed for clients who have internal motivation to remain abstinent from alcohol and drugs. The program is not designed for those avoiding the consequences of the courts, for housing needs, or to placate family members.
Applicants with outstanding arrest warrants are not eligible. Sobriety House does not accept out-of-state parole referrals.
Applicants must be released from jail or prison in order to be considered for admission.
Sexual crime perpetrators or applicants with a history of violence are not eligible. This includes, but is not limited to: burglary, robbery, assault, incest, domestic violence, harassment/stalking, arson, rape, attempted murder, murder, offenses related to firearms and other weapons, wrongs to children, kidnapping, etc.
Applicants who have upcoming court dates or are on probation or parole for the above offenses are not eligible for the program.
