2006 Benefit Dinner a Grand Success!

Supporters of Sobriety House came together on October 19th, 2006, to celebrate the positive face of recovery at the 5th annual benefit dinner and silent auction. It was an evening of enlightenment with stories told in all seriousness as well as with humor. The dinner committee and volunteers worked very hard to make the night one to remember. We are very grateful to them!

John McNair was honored with the Thomas G. Vessels Humanitarian Award, his daughters accepted the award in his absence. Cindy H., Stepping Stone graduate, told a heart-wrenching story of her battles with addiction and her subsequent recovery.

The main event of the evening was a presentation from Karyn Ruth White, a national humorist and life skills coach who believes that work and life can indeed be laughing matters. Bill Clarke, 7News Consumer Champ, served as MC.

Funds raised during the evening support the programs at Sobriety House. Join us on October 6th, 2007 for our next dinner.
