Gifts to the Noel F. Delporte Memorial Fund help extremely financially troubled clients until they are able to find employment. Distribution of funds is based on individual needs and through an application process.

In 2006, Noel's wife, Martha, established the Noel F. Delporte, Jr. Memorial Fund in Noel's memory. The Fund serves as a starting point for those who cannot afford the nominal fees requested of all residents of Sobriety House.

Beginning the journey to sobriety can be daunting in itself. Mrs. Delporte sees the Memorial Fund as a way to help alleviate some of the challenges individuals experience when making this courageous change in their lives. Providing a portion of an individual's fees will help them begin their recovery process with fewer worries.

Noel had many years of sobriety. He always welcomed newcomers and wanted to help those needing an extra hand. He knew the challenges associated with sobriety and was anxious to reduce the day-to-day stresses wherever he could.

Sobriety House offers the Passport Fund to graduates of the program who choose to continue their education. The Fund provides financial assistance to sober current and former Sobriety House clients.

Funds are designated for new or continuing education to enhance or develop job skills. Funds are used to help defray the costs of tuition, supplies, books, and tools. It is designed to assist the student while other sources of funding are arranged. Distribution of funds is based on individual needs and through an application process.
